AMC’s “The Walking Dead” is an epic survival adventure series from Frank Darabont, director of The Shawshank Redemption, and Gale Anne Hurd, producer of The Terminator and Aliens, based on the graphic novel series by Robert Kirkman.
After waking from a coma in an abandoned hospital, police officer Rick Grimes finds the world he knew gone – ravaged by a global zombie epidemic. Rick, now reunited with his wife and son along a small band of survivors, wages a daily battle for survival in a post-apocalyptic landscape populated by legions of the undead.
