In person, Michael Rooker is not scary at all. “Whatcha doin’ girl?” says one of the bad guys from “Guardians of the Galaxy,” who says his summer hit is a huge surprise to him. “It’s like ‘The Walking Dead,’” says the actor, who played Merle on AMC’s zombie hit. “I don’t know what the demographics exactly are for that TV show or ‘Guardians.’ Everybody just seems to be liking it.”
The Alabama native, who was cleaning architects’ offices in downtown Chicago before getting his big break in the indie hit “Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer,” talked to the Sun-Times about his Saturday appearance in Chicago at Wizard World and the new webseries for the Illinois Department of Transportation…
